Children's Academy Lessons will run on Saturday mornings for ages 4 years upwards. Monday and Tuesday evenings provide lessons for ages 6yrs upwards and our Adult Academy too!
Headington School Pool has excellent facilities with accessible entry, plenty of parking on site, changing rooms and showers, and spectators are very welcome. We have exclusive use of the venue during sessions, and the venue provides warmer water than some. It is perfect for all levels with shallow and deep water access, and a full 25m length!

Arriving at the venue
Headington School pool is situated on the Senior School site, to the right of the tennis courts. Access is via the entrance on Headington Road only (by the bus stop) with access and parking in the noted 'Drop Off Zone' during our sessions. Please park in an allocated parking space (please do not use those marked for House Staff' and walk around past the tennis courts and behind the sports hall, following the blue arrow below:
Please stay on the path that runs around the tennis courts and round to the pool. Once you turn the corner you will see the pool building ahead, and the entrance is round to the right

Important Information
Please be advised that the entrance from the changing rooms to poolside is straight onto poolside and at the deep end of the pool, and as such all siblings and swimmers should be supervised at all times for safety.
In order to ensure everyone has enough space to change, please do not arrive at the venue more than 10minutes before your class.
- Outdoor footwear should be removed before entering the changing rooms.
- Please note that no food should be taken or eaten in the changing rooms.
- The Instructor will call your child round to class when your class begins. Please ensure that children do not enter the water until their Instructor has cleared the previous class and has asked for attendance.
- Whilst waiting during lessons, all children and siblings attending should remain safely supervised on poolside, and at no point should adults/children sit with their legs in/enter the water during lessons.
- We understand some children/parents may be waiting poolside for a full class whilst their child/sibling attends lessons, and we ask please that everyone remains seated as best as possible and to limit noise and distractions.
Changing and Spectating
Please remove outdoor shoes on entry and store these carefully under the benches. Entrance to poolside is to the left - please ensure all spectators remove footwear and then head through to take a seat.
Changing rooms are ahead and to the left and right. Please note that the female changing rooms to the left have an entry straight through to poolside which is by the deep end of the pool so all swimmers and siblings should be supervised at all times. Male changing returns to the foyer and swimmers should walk through to poolside along with spectators.
There are shower facilities at the pool, and plenty of changing space.
